When I open the language settings “Microsoft Office-Spracheinstellungen ” there are the two tabs attached. The tab “Bearbeitungssprachen” editing languages is the only one I can change anything in, so I set the primary editing language to English and restarted my PC.

Afterwards the setting is still the same Englishbut when I open Word both the proof reading langauge such as the menues are still in German. I’m ebterprise even sure that language packs for Office were free when Microsoft offered them in the past.
